Chicago Architecture Center's Girls Build! Summer Camp
Earlier this month, Mejay Gula and Natasha Shandura joined the Chicago Architecture Center's Girls Build! Summer Camp, a program that introduces students in grades 6–8 to urban planning and design through hands-on learning and collaboration.
During the session, Mejay and Natasha shared what they do as architects and urban designers, and reflected on their own journeys into the profession, from the people, places, and experiences that inspired them as kids to the mentors and opportunities that shaped their careers.
We're grateful for the opportunity to encourage the next generation of designers, leaders, and changemakers. Thank you to the Chicago Architecture Center for creating spaces where young people can see themselves in the future of the built environment.
