Robert E. Kiesgen III

Field Quality Control Manager

At Site Design Group, Robert E. Kiesgen III serves as Field Quality Control Manager, bringing a hands-on understanding of how design ideas become built work. With a background spanning carpentry, residential design/build, construction engineering, construction administration, and field quality control, Robert approaches projects with a practical eye for constructability, coordination, and craft.

Robert studied architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago and DIS Copenhagen, developing a broad understanding of the built environment across disciplines and scales. His experience allows him to work fluidly among design teams, contractors, clients, residents, business owners, and other project stakeholders, helping to ensure that design intent is carried through to construction with clarity and quality.

Outside of the office, Robert can often be found road-tripping across the country with his wife and two sons. His interests include all things two-wheeled, native habitat restoration, fungi and mushroom identification, photography, woodworking, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors.
