Nicole Beard is a designer on the Project Team at Site Design Group, driven by a belief that landscape architecture does more than shape the physical environment and can strengthen the social fabric of a place. Her approach centers on thoughtful, community-rooted design and an interest in how the built landscape fosters connection and resilience. This perspective was shaped through her Master of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University, where her work focused on research-based, community-driven design within urban vacancy.

Beyond her project work, Nicole is active within the American Society of Landscape Architects. She serves as the National Associate Representative on the ASLA National Associate Advisory Committee and as Co-Chair of the Illinois Chapter Emerging Professionals Committee, where she supports professional development and engagement opportunities for emerging practitioners. She also mentors students and early-career designers as they enter the profession.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys exploring Chicago and taking on new creative projects, currently with a focus on sewing.
