Field Technician
Monica Zimmerman is a Field Technician at Site Design Group with a background spanning organic farming, agronomy, nursery production, and landscape architecture. Her work is grounded in a deep appreciation for plants, ecology, and the realities of how landscapes are built and maintained. She brings a plant-forward, field-informed perspective to her work, approaching landscapes from both a practical and ecological lens.
Monica earned both a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her concentration in Horticultural Food Systems helped shape her interest in productive landscapes, plant systems, and the relationship between people and the land.
In her free time, you’ll find Monica playing survival video games, hunting down the best tiramisu, and gardening with her family.
