Mark Jirik, ASLA, LEED AP, ISA Certified Arborist
Director of Horticulture
Mark Jirik is the Director of Horticulture at Site Design Group, where he leads the firm’s planting design efforts and brings a deep expertise in both arboriculture and horticulture. A Professional Landscape Architect and Certified Arborist, Mark’s experience spans a wide range of project types and scales, including master plans, parks, schools, natural areas, and streetscapes.
In addition to his role at Site Design Group, Mark co-teaches LA 565 (Ecology + Materials: Plants & Planting) at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he shares his knowledge of planting design and ecological systems with emerging professionals.
Outside the office, Mark enjoys—unsurprisingly—plants, along with cycling, photography, world travel, and exploring the great outdoors.
