Katy Karl, LEED Green Associate

Technical Team

Katy Karl is a member of the Technical Team at Site Design Group, where she contributes to the design and delivery of community-oriented, place-based projectsShe holds dual master’s degrees in Architecture and Urban Design from Washington University in St. Louis, where she focused on community-oriented, place-based design, as well as a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Katy is currently pursuing her architectural license.

Her professional experience includes guiding construction site volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and working at a Chicago-based architectural firm specializing in nonprofit projects, where she contributed to all phases of design and construction.

Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, Katy grew up exploring nature along the Delaware River and in the Pocono Mountains, sparking her lifelong love for the outdoors. She enjoys camping, skiing, canoeing, and boating, as well as yoga, crafting, and painting. At home, she spends time with her husband and their two cats, and she loves to travel whenever she can.
