Clare Johnson, ASLA
Project Manager
At Site Design Group, Clare Johnson is a Project Manager, bringing more than a decade of experience across public gardens, healthcare environments, commercial landscapes, and residential design-build projects. Her work is rooted in creating landscapes that are both highly functional and deeply restorative, with a particular passion for therapeutic and accessible garden design, food production landscapes, and thoughtfully crafted outdoor experiences that foster connection and well-being.
Clare holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with a certification in Healthcare Garden Design.
Outside of work, Clare can usually be found planning her next trip, hiking forest preserves and national parks, wandering farmers markets, trying new restaurants around Chicago, or losing track of time in vintage and antique stores. She will happily reroute a trip to visit a great garden and, while she professionally manages projects, is equally known for meticulously planning her travel itineraries.
