Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Awards
We are honored to have been part of the award-winning team recognized at the 2025 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Awards, celebrating excellence at the National Public Housing Museum.
The Museum received both the Adaptive Reuse Award and the Richard H. Driehaus Legacy Award for its visionary transformation of the last remaining 1938 Art Deco building of the Jane Addams Homes into a vibrant civic and cultural destination on Chicago’s Near West Side. The project preserves the powerful stories and lived experiences of public housing residents, expands the definition of a housing museum, and offers a bold new model of creative placemaking and civic dialogue.
We extend our thanks and congratulations to our incredible partners, especially LBBA Architects and Amy Reichert Architecture.
