Completed in 2021, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Engineering Campus Instructional Facility stands as the campus's new flexible learning center, meticulously designed to foster collaboration and hands-on learning experiences. Situated adjacent to the main engineering quadrangle, the facility serves as a focal point for contemporary teaching and learning endeavors. Anchored by the central circulation spine to the south of the building, public spaces offer panoramic views across all floors, encompassing vistas of the engineering quadrangle, Grainger Library, and the north-south pedestrian axis. Notable site enhancements create inviting entrances, including lush streetscape plantings, shade trees, café seating, a designated bike rack area, and more.
The UIUC Campus Instructional Facility is certified LEED BD+C NC (New Construction) Platinum, BD+C, Platinum.
