The Illinois Medical District (IMD) possesses one of the world’s largest concentrations of major health care institutions on a 560-acre campus on the Near West Side of Chicago, Illinois. Working with with Solomon Cordwell Buenz, site provided landscape architecture, urban design, and planning services in order to update the District’s Master Land Use Plan. Site and landscape improvements focused on park and open space creation in order to promote healthy, sustainable living through recreational amenities and community gathering.
