The redevelopment of the commercial district in Chicago’s Chinatown includes cultural identity symbols, site amenities, decorative lighting, specialty paving and sign identification.
A pedestrian plaza off of Wentworth Avenue is designed with Chinese motifs within the paving and benches, depicting the culture and identity of the community.
The project has improved the pedestrian traffic flow throughout the business district, enhancing the colorful and vibrant street life in this cultural neighborhood.
