monastery

The master plan for this Greek Orthodox monastery facility includes new interior roads, pathways and building structures which are integrated within eighty-five acres of natural hills, streams and woodland originally found on the site.

An interior drive leads from the main entrance on the south past the geometrically designed cemetery midway up the site. Natural landscaped beds with ornamental grasses and wild flower mixes are designed with massive tree plantings to screen the site from the neighboring sites.

The careful integration of landscape and structures served to enhance the contemplative character of the facility.
