The complete renovation of Sears magnate Julius Rosenwald’s estate served to raise the level of restoration in Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood.
Restoration of cobblestone walkways and patios, the design and installation of a formal fountain, a new tennis court, entry gardens, and landscaped screening transformed the dilapidated grounds into a series of active and passive recreation spaces, outdoor entertainment venues and family areas.
